Jane Lazar, Sausalito, California, USA
The commitment of my personal and professional life is the realization of our innate connectedness to self, to others and to the universe. From my own experience, I believe the healing of our sense of separation as well as large and small traumas, is key to allowing us to settle into our natural connectedness.
My own evolution includes a background of training and work with Lomi Body Work, Aikido, Nonviolent Communication, and monastic training in Soto Zen Buddhism including priest ordination in 2005. Through meditation, I saw how I was imprisoned by unresolved trauma and received sessions in Somatic Experiencing. Inspired by my experience that even in one’s fifth decade, it is possible to heal trauma in the nervous system, I am presently engaged in becoming a professional Somatic Experiencing (SE) practitioner. For the last year, I have volunteered at COTS homeless shelters in Petaluma, CA, as part of the SE clinic.
